Daredevil Brewing Co promotes Rip Cord Double IPA to Limited Release Beer

Shelbyville, IN (July 10, 2013) – Daredevil Brewing Co, maker of Lift Off IPA and aggressively fun craft beers, announced they are promoting Rip Cord Double IPA to a limited release beer that will be made a few times a year due to popular demand for the beer.

Based on the many requests we have received, Rip Cord Double IPA is being promoted to a year round offering in conjunction with Circle City Beer Week celebrating craft beer in Indianapolis from July 15^th to July 20^th. Rip Cord Double IPA will be available at special tapping events during the week of celebration that concludes with the Brewer’s of Indiana Guild 18^th annual Microbrewers Festival on Saturday, July 20^th.

Rip Cord Double IPA has an abundance of American hops balanced with a hint of malt to produce an exhilarating experience of intense hop flavors and aromas of citrus, floral and resin that combine to provide a satisfying crisp finish.

Rip Cord Double IPA is a 9.0 percent ABV, 90 IBU, 5.8 SRM handcrafted beer that represents one of our interpretations of the American Double IPA style. It will be available on draft throughout the Daredevil distribution footprint of central and southern Indiana beginning Monday, July 22^nd.

Daredevil Brewing Co Releases Vacation Kölsch

Shelbyville, IN (June 13 2013) – Daredevil Brewing Co, makers of Lift Off IPA and aggressively fun craft beers, announced the release of their newest limited edition beer, Vacation, which is a delicately balanced, authentic Kölsch style ale brewed with the finest German malts, hops and yeast to provide a crisp, clean and refreshing match for summer relaxation.

Vacation is a 5.0% ABV, 20 IBU, 3.2 SRM limited release that coincides with the brewery’s summer holiday week and the beginning of summer marked by the summer solstice on June 21. Vacation provides an aggressively fun craft beer option for long, relaxing summer days and nights. It will be available on draft throughout the Daredevil distribution footprint of central and southern Indiana beginning Monday, June 24.

We are growing! More tanks = more beer

It is a great time to be a craft brewery and especially a craft brewery in Indiana. Things are moving fast here as we gear up for our first expansion. Yes, we only started shipping in January and we really are already expanding so we can meet the demand for more aggressively fun craft beers.

This week we are receiving two new fermentation tanks and a new bright tank from our awesome partner JV Northwest in Portland. Over the next couple weeks the new equipment will be installed and once it moves into operation we will be able to easily produce over 2000 BBLs per year or roughly twice our current capacity. What this means to the average person out there is that we will be able to continue to grow our distribution footprint and volume for Lift Off IPA while also continuing to produce our Belgian seasonal series and limited release beers like Rip Cord Double IPA.

And while we are busy growing our capacity we also wanted to give a big shout out to all the people out there who are part of the Daredevil community in one way or another from people supporting us when they buy a pint, to the establishments who carry our beer and the many vendors and distribution partners we work with every day. Thanks to all of you Daredevil beers can be found in many locations across the state of Indiana and more each week. Thank you!

New Thursday Seasonal & Limited Release Location Update

We try hard to keep people informed of where you can find our beers across Indiana. As we grow it gets a little harder but we believe that people both want this information and find it very useful.

For the last three months we have done a Friday weekend planning guide update with locations and then when we added our Muse Belgian Golden Ale seasonal release we started identifying if the location carried Lift Off IPA and/or Muse. This works well until we went past +70 locations and added our new limited release, Rip Cord Double IPA.

To keep information flowing we are now going to provide a weekly update each Thursday on locations for our current seasonal and limited releases. If you have reviewed our website or read our prior posts our plans are to have 3 or 4 beers at any given time during the year which would mean 2 or 3 seasonal or limited releases. With +35 locations now carrying Muse and Rip Cord and growth continuing we think a dedicated weekly update is just the way to go.

Location update for Rip Cord Double IPA

This is the Rip Cord Double IPA daily location update. Given all the interest we will do a rolling daily update every afternoon so you know where Rip Cord is on draft, delivered, and get a sneak peak at upcoming locations. Also, we announce deliveries in the daily update and will do our best to announce when a location has put Rip Cord on draft too as they happen

It’s a bit of coordination on our part but we think makes it easier on everyone. To date everyone ordering Rip Cord carries one or both of our other current beers Lift Off IPA and Muse BGA so you also should have a chance to sample our lineup at one place.

This seasonal release was planned to be available in conjunction with Bloomington Craft Beer Week and in time to pour at the Brewer’s Guild of Indiana sponsored Bloomington Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, April 13^th at the Historic Woolery Mill in Bloomington, Indiana.

Muse BGA update and future Belgian Seasonal plans

We have had Muse Belgian Golden Ale out now for almost a month in locations across Indiana. We are really pleased at the feedback and that people are enjoying it.

We wanted to answer the most frequest questions we have had about Muse, which is “how long are you making it?” and “are you going to make more Belgians?”

On the first question, Muse is the first seasonal beer from our new Beligan series. As for dates we are roughly following the calendar seasons. Muse is our Winter seasonal with availability from February to April, which means we can brew it once a month so that people get the full benefit of fresh craft beer.

On the second question, we plan to make four Belgian seasonal beers this year with one per season. We have shown this on our website with estimated dates but not yet announced the beer names or beer style for each season. All we can say on this without spoiling the surprise is that you can expect each seasonal beer style to match the season we brew it.

For now, enjoy Muse. Take advantage of it being around another couple months. We know we will.

Shelbyville, IN (February 14, 2013) – Daredevil Brewing Co, maker of Lift Off IPA and aggressively fun craft beers, announced the release of Muse, an unfiltered golden ale that displays a classic fruity and spicy fermentation character with a backdrop of the highest quality Belgian Pilsner Malt and noble hops for a refreshingly fun, and intriguingly unique balance of inspiration and respect for the classic Belgian Golden Ale style.

Muse is a 8.5 percent and 30 IBU seasonal release, and is available on draft throughout the Daredevil distribution footprint of central and southern Indiana beginning Thursday, February 14th.
